This research evaluates if a mobile and web-based App listing adapted and inclusive leisure activities and allowing interaction among stakeholders (parents, youth, community services and policy makers) can promote participation of children with disabilities in leisure activities. Taking a knowledge translation approach to this research, our goal is also to determine the best dissemination and implementation strategies for a stakeholder-informed technology. The study involves surveys, interviews and focus groups of children and youth with disabilities, their caregivers and health and leisure service providers. Environmental scans and policy analyses will follow, to identify gaps in leisure participation and accessibility that can be targeted.
